The Dean Of The Faculty

Prof. Dr. Wadih Yassin Mohamed
The dean of the Faculty of Physical Education at Aalborg Academy of Science holds a master’s degree from Helwan University College of Physical Education in Alexandria and holds a doctorate degree from the University Of Baghdad, College Of Physical Education in addition to a professorship degree in 1990.
He published 26 Books in sports disciplines and translated 6 textbooks in international law on weights, football, therapeutic swimming, fitness, and mobility, and published 345 research in scientific journals and at global and local conferences.
He held several high-level scientific posts such as the Assistant President of the University of Mosul, the dean of Al Qalam College and the editor in chief of Al Rafidain Journal of Sports Sciences. He received several titles, including the Iraqi weightlifting champion, an international weightlifting champion and a first-degree international referee, and he was honored several times and received scores of thanks and appreciation.

Vision:

The Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences seeks to be among the world’s best faculties by upgrading their scientific and administrative standards and to be the leading faculty in scientific research and sports culture to serve the Arab and international community.

Mission:

Preparation of qualified and specialized scientific staff in the field of physical education and sports sciences to contribute to the promotion of school sports, high-level sports and community health, as well as the numbers of researchers in the field of sports sciences to promote sports movement at various levels

Objectives:

  1. The teachers will prepare the sports education lesson for all academic stages, with a knowledge of the physical, educational, social, psychological, health and sporting aspects, teaching methods, motor learning and sports training.
  2. To promote the development of sports by participating in sports organizations’ management, administration, arbitration, guidance and education, and to contribute to the leadership of the sports movement through the graduation of the scientific Quality athletic staffs.
  3. To contribute to the dissemination of sports culture through academic curricula, scientific conferences, seminars and sports workshops.
  4. Contribute to the service of society through education for the sports project for all and to clarify the concepts of sports practice and its positive effects in public health.
  5. Preparation of scientific staff qualified to work in the fields of scientific research, sports training, arbitration, sports management, therapeutic sports, teaching methods and techniques, motor learning, measurement, evaluation, motor analysis and psychological and social guidance for the development of the fields of sports sciences.
  6. Proposing solutions to address sports problems through scientific research for graduate students and teaching staff.
  7. Training students to conduct scientific studies through graduation research for completed grades.
